My name is Tamara and I have been an army wife since 2003. I met my husband while he was stationed in Hawaii back in 2002. I am a proud mom of 2 kiddos and a fur mama to an awesome Labrador Retriever mix and to an adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix.
I decided to start this site to help other Army Spouses seek support and gain information well as friendship from other army spouses in the same or similar situation.
In August of 2005 I had taken over ArmySpouseInHawaii group on Yahoo as co-administator then moved the group to hawaiiarmyspouses.com (no longer available). On January 1, 2008 I became the co-admin for FortLeavenworthArmySpouses group On Yahoo. As the groups began to grow I have decided to create Army Spouses Online so that there would be more State/area specific message board for Army Spouses. Which means making it easier for spouses to gain information needed about the Army life as well as about their new duty station. I also felt that state/area specific board will make it user friendly for outing events and for people to receive the support they needed.
